Steve's Home Brewing Log

I began home brewing beer after Kris gave me a Mr. Beer Kit for Christmas in 2005.  The first recipe went so well that I quickly went looking on the internet for more information about brewing.  I found two local shops that sold supplies and before you knew it I had fermentation tanks, carboys, racking canes, wert kettles, coolers and a whole bunch of empty bottles filling the dining room.   I've now completed several 'no-boil' and several grain based recipes and am hooked on this hobby!

The following log will show the types of beers I've brewed along with a few statistics and comments.   Recipes not using a second fermentation were brewed in Mr. Brew Keg.  Else recipes are fermented in primary bucket then racked into secondary carboy before bottling.

I loved my first Creme Stout.  So trying a different recipe.  A little less dextros to lessen the sweetness

This sweeter stout will compliment my Java Stout and keep me in the heavy beer for a while.  First tastes are gratifying!    Smooth, mellow but seems to have a good kick!!!
